Cook – Tio Ōhiwa Takeaways

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team at Tio Ōhiwa Takeaway Shop. In this role, you will prepare and cook a variety of seafood dishes, maintaining our high standards of quality and consistency. You’ll work closely with the Kitchen Manager and other team members in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring each dish is a memorable experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook seafood, sides, and takeaway dishes following recipes, portion control, and quality standards.

• Kitchen Operations: Assist in kitchen setup and close-down, keeping equipment and workstations clean and sanitized.

• Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to food safety regulations, ensuring cleanliness across all areas.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to fulfill customer orders and maintain efficiency.

• Inventory and Stock Management: Help manage stock levels, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and well-stored.

• Customer Service: Prepare food to meet customer expectations, including special requests and dietary needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.

• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a takeaway or quick-service restaurant.
